Irene and Cadell takes home titles in Colorado Jr. Championships. Wynn, and Mia takes home local lvl 6 titles!
This past weekend was level 5 Colorado Jr. Championship; one of the bigger junior tournaments of the year. We had a strong attendance from Mathiesen Tennis with a total of 6 players.
Irene participated in both singles, mixed, and doubles, and took home the title in U16 girls singles with lots of good performances and some of her biggest wins along the way. Partnering up with Cadell in Mixed doubles they took home another title. It deserves a mention that Cadell has won 4 out of 5 doubles tournaments this year. On top of that Irene won the sportsmanship award of the tournament which means a lot to us here in Mathiesen Tennis!
It was great to see our team coming together for the tournament arranging carpooling and cheering for each other.
Tennis is a tough and time consuming sport so having good team mates and a strong team spirit definitely makes it more fun. Thank you to all the parents that worked together and made it happen!
We also had 5 other players in action in the local level 6 tournament in Rolland Moore Park. Wynn took home the boys U14 title with good performances along the way. Wynn has improved so much lately and almost always maximizes his practice with great effort and focus. Congratulations on your first level 6 tournament win Wynn 🎾🔥
Mia, Audrey, and Anna all participated in the U12 category where Mia ended up winning the tournament after some close matches. Good job Mia, keep up the good work!
