Irene Cobos wins U18 tournament in Boulder!

15 year old Irene Cobos played the U18 level 6 tournament in Boulder this week along with full representation from our "Young Guns" group: Lucas & David Cobos, Luka Banic, and Brock Slauson who participated in the U14 draw.

David lost to the first seed player in the second round, but David had some good wins in the consolation and lost a close 9-7 match in the final. Luka lost to the same player in the quarterfinal, and Lucas went to the semifinal in the main draw and lost a close match to the second seed after winning the first set, 6-4, 6-7, (6-10).

It's very exciting to have a strong representation from our "Young Guns" now. Brock is the latest addition to the group, and all of the boys always brings the fire in practice with a great competitive vibe, focused work, and lots of smiles. The next couple years' development will be fun to witness.

Irene struggled a bit with her game throughout the tournament up until the final where she had a great performance with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Congrats Irene, and good job finding ways to win your matches throughout the tournament and finish with a good performance 🎾🔥
