Two finals and great performances from our 3 youngest players!

Our youngest players Anna & Audrey Walton, both 10 years old, played their first two orange ball tournaments this weekend in Fort Collins and Denver and did great. They both won 3 out of 4 matches in the first tournament and Anna got 2nd place in the Denver tournament. Also, Audrey got "best sportsmanship award". Before we are tennis players we are a human beings, and in tennis we can be fair, respectful, and calm yet still be fiercely competitive with great energy. This is what we stand for in Mathiesen Tennis, so I am proud when that is noticed with our players.

I watched a few matches in the first tournament and was pleased to see the way that both of them where playing tennis. Not just trying to get the ball in the court but actually trying to win the points playing exciting offensive tennis. Great job Anna and Audrey, I'm looking forward to much more court time with you.

12-year old Lissette Tarin joined us in Mathiesen Tennis last year and just started playing tournaments this season. Every single tournament she shows improvements and took home 2nd place in last weeks U14 lvl 7 tournament in Fort Collins. Lissette always brings the fire in practice and does a great job practicing at home. The improvements are visible from week to week and it is a joy to have her in the team. Good job Lissette, keep up that great energy of yours 🎾🔥
